Client work before SEOcean — connecting business needs, SEO and websites

Hands-on client work delivered through previous employers and agencies, spanning digital platforms, retail, insurance, hospitality, media and business websites. These experiences preceded the founding of SEOcean.

The work behind the company’s beginnings

Before founding SEOcean, I worked hands-on on SEO, content and websites for businesses in several industries. Most of these assignments came through the companies or agencies I worked with at the time. I later included examples in SEOcean’s 2024 Company Profile to document the founder’s background.

These are examples of my work before establishing the company. Their inclusion does not imply that every brand was a direct client of SEOcean or is a current client of SE Ocean.

Different businesses call for different SEO decisions

Fastwork Thailand and Indonesia — SEO, website troubleshooting and information-structure improvements for a freelance platform serving both professionals offering services and clients looking for help.

Makro HoReCa Academy — SEO content communicating the programme and information relevant to restaurant operators, connecting brand communication with content that business owners could use.

Prudential — Website SEO work supporting discoverability and opportunities for enquiries. This added experience of the relationship between information, search and lead generation in an insurance context.

At Mind Group — Local SEO for a hotel group operating in Sukhumvit and Pattaya, with the objective of helping potential guests find the hotels and book directly through their websites.

Tecnogas — Work on brand and product-site visibility, connecting information searches with an online destination where people could learn about and select products.

Content, structure and the experience of using a website

My work for BrandThink covered content analysis, SEO and website UX considerations. For NocNoc, the work involved SEO strategy, website structure and content in a home-materials and products context.

These assignments brought together content and the structures that help people discover and understand it. They strengthened my view of marketing as closely connected to website design and the user experience.

I also contributed to website work for Organyx, an organic-products business needing an online ordering channel, and to design and information publishing for the Thai Digital Asset Association website. This included both commerce-oriented sites and sites serving an organisation’s communication needs.

Website-performance work for Chewathai is documented separately, with speed, images and UX at its centre. My Unilever Thailand assignment through OLIVER APAC also has a separate account specifying the SEO Specialist role and contract arrangement.

Teaching and carrying the experience forward

The Company Profile also records my experience as an SEO instructor for the THNIC Foundation and the Technology Promotion Association (Thailand–Japan), or TPA, alongside training and consultation work. Explaining a method to someone else calls for making its reasoning clear and connecting specialist knowledge to the problems a learner or business owner faces.

Across these industries, I developed the habit of starting with the business need, the information people are looking for and the next step a website should help them take. This became part of the foundation for SEOcean and today’s SE Ocean: a broader view of the problem, with the scope determined by the work itself.
