March 2024 – Present · Founder & Executive Director
Founder & Executive Director of SE Ocean
I founded the company as SEOcean around SEO expertise developed through independent and global-brand work, then repositioned the same business as SE Ocean to address broader business problems, strategy, and implementation.
SE Ocean Co., Ltd.
SEOcean and SE Ocean are the same company
I founded the company as SEOcean, with SEO as its original specialism, and have served as its founder and Executive Director since March 2024. The business later repositioned as SE Ocean to reflect a broader scope of work. It is a development of the same company.
The experience behind the company
Before founding it, I built experience in digital marketing and SEO through independent work beginning in 2013, agency roles, and responsibility for Unilever’s Thai-market SEO through OLIVER APAC.
These settings gave me experience both of delivering work myself and of applying specialist knowledge within an organisation’s systems. When I started SEOcean, understanding search behaviour, content, websites, and the client’s business formed the foundation of the work.
When SEO was the central specialism
The company initially focused on SEO. My interest was always in the relationship between the client’s business, the information a visitor needed, and the decisions a website could support.
The first-month SEO example for a real-estate business documents work under my leadership during that period. It shows early progress after taking responsibility for the website, within a client relationship that continued over the longer term.
The broader direction of SE Ocean
Working with actual problems made the connections across a business increasingly relevant: leadership decisions, team workflows, responsibility, information, technology, and organisational direction.
SE Ocean now starts from clarifying the problem, developing strategy grounded in the available facts, and considering how understanding can lead to action. The work may involve operating systems, responsibility structures, products, or technology, depending on what the problem requires.
SEO and marketing remain part of my practical foundation. They are no longer the organising centre of every engagement. The broader position allows the relevant knowledge to follow the problem, rather than starting every case with the same service or tool.
Scope follows the work
Taking a wider view does not require every engagement to change an entire organisation. I assess scope from the problem, evidence, constraints, and the action its responsible owners can realistically take. Some cases call for focused work; others require attention to several connected areas.
For me, leading the company means setting direction, taking responsibility for choices, and building ways of working that can put understanding into practice. Read the company’s current approach at SE Ocean.
